We were on a moving train and I looked out the window and saw these guys swimming along. I snapped them before we got too far away - wish I had more time to frame it.

Aesthetic. Like an oil painting. The background is just great. As regards the out focusing problem of the swams, who cares as you were shooting from a train.

These look like endangred Trumpeter Swans, back from the edge of extinction- don't get to see these very often. Well worth the shot - thanks for posting it.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I am really not sure what kind of swans they are myself. But they looked like Trumpeters to me, too. There were about a dozen of then scatterred on the marsh as we went by.

The color is fantastic, you have captured an entire sequence here where subject need not face the camera because the entire focus is on color and emotion. The birds are secondary to the entire effect, to me. I may be completely in error, but that's what I personally see, and I really like the effect, thanks for the experience
