Great picture. Long telephoto I'm thinking. We have Moose up here and I don't like getting too close to them.:G

300mm with a 1.7 tele(500). Only about 75 yards from him, he had no idea I was there! You are correct about getting too close and your moose are a little bigger than ours!!!

thanks,

Doug

Really fine detail and exposure in the hair. I could almost count the hairs, and that's definitely a wow factor. And not one hair is over exposed

Very nice, sharp picture...tele convertor and all. Years ago I came around a corner on a road in Manitoba, in a National Park and there in all it's glory was a full grown Bull Moose...looking like the Lord of the Forest.

I just sat in my Cavalier wagon...not daring to move...in case I triggered him. He looked about 18 feet tall and about 2000 lbs...of course he wasn't, but he was big especially while looking up from a compact car.

He eventually meandered off in the bush. I was relieved and drove on.

Thanks, my goal is for a large bull this fall. Saw one on the way home on Thursday near St. Regis, Montana but I was on the interstate and surrounded by trucks and could not get stopped

Thanks again for the comments.

Yes, good exposure and detailon the Moose. Will be looking forward to seeing the "big one" when you get it.
