About 600km's - as to the "wildness", there are no totally wild areas left, everything is in some sort of protective reserve. These are in the Kruger National park, a protected area of 20,000 sq kms, where animals roam free and wild. Some chap called Paul Kruger set the placeup about 100 yrs ago by fencing untamed bushland, and declared it protected by government law. The animals live basically as they should, untampered with by humans. Really a treat to see! [and photograph]

Being wild as such, there's no guarantee what you see, it's basically hunt and shoot, except with cameras, not guns.

Super shot, Jake, I've visited off and on and your strings are always a pleasure both because of your talent and that photographer's playground of yours. :|
