some of the local birds, they are very cheeky and destructive


First two taken with 70-200 F 4 L Non IS and the rest with the 400 5.6, all handheld

Is this a type of parrot? I like the colors and details in the feathers. #3 could use a bit of noise reduction to clean up the background.

Great job, Julie, 1 and 3 are really fine photos. Love the pose in 3 and the close up shows some fine detail. Must be nice having summer down there. All I can look forward to is "white" :lol:

thanks all, by the way norm, its spring here. Summer starts on december 1st in Australia, should be a hot one this year which I hate.
