I shot these today after deciding to go out for an hour or so even though it is very windy. Many birds are now in a feeding frenzy on various ponds in preparation for the long migration. I found this group today as well as one chickadee who was braving the wind.

Stopping a Dowitcher like that is an achievement. So is the Chickadee. By comparison, the Yellowlegs should have been easy.:lol:

Nice on all, Norm. Your favorite is also my favorite. I like the colors and the fanned tail and the sharpness of it.

Thank you for the comment, birds are migrating now up here in Alberta and they seem to be worried more about filling up the gullet rather than being bugged by my presence, which is nice. Wish it would last longer than I know it will last, though.
