hadn't seen the males in full color at this park since last February, so it was nice to spot some this morning... high overcast, so the light was pretty flat, and there was a lot of cr*p in the water to spoil reflections, but the woodies were obliging enough to come reasonably close (25-30 yards) and allow me some photo ops! :G

Outstanding images of our most colorful duck, especiallywith those reflections. The first one seems to te eyeing you rather warily.

Hey Rocky,

Long time no see. I was surffing over here and saw these beautiful images by you. I see you still can't make a bad shot. I also see you got yourself a new EOS-40D. How do you like it so far? I just bought an old Olympus E-1 to try and teach myself about DSLR's. I'll post some shots here for critique when I learn how to use it. Should be in today or tomorrow.

thanks for the kind comments, guys...

hi Don, yeah, i picked up a 40D about 6 weeks ago. so far, i really like it. i haven't decided whether or not to sell my 30D, though... i'm actually kinda liking having two bodies so i can switch from wide angle to telephoto without actually changing lenses, and the idea of a 30D as a back-up certainly has merit! i still have my FZ20, but these days, frankly, it doesn't get used much... good as it is, it just can't keep up with the DSLR's...
