Afterseeing no blue jays at all this summer in my yard, I was a little surprised this morning to find a flock of them in the woods along the back yard. This guy posed in the top of a small tree.

I've seen these fellows the last week or so, but this morning was the first time I've gotten to shoot one. I've used my bird guide & tentatively ID'd it as a Dark Eyed Junco. Any correction is welcome.

Finally, I couldn't resist shooting this little song sparrow. I should have used more DOF to get it a ltitle sharper, but I liked the way he was "checking out the guy with the camera" from inside the sumac bush.
