Thanks Don! Hehehe. Ahem. All joking aside, this is an awesome shot of the Coopers Hawk, VP. So sharp and well exposed in the shade. I like the low angle. It really brings the viewer into the world of the hawk. How close did you get to it btw? Was it resting or did it just swoop down to try to catch a meal?

Hi, Hung. I appreciate the comments!

This hawk flew in and made a grab at some House Sparrows, which promptly hid in some shrubbery.It then lit by the shrubs and started walking and looking into their hiding place.A couple of times itjumped into the shrubs to try and make a catch. I had already been able to get closer and at the end of where the shrubs stopped by the second time it came out from trying to grab a sparrow.

I had my camera pointed at where I thought he would appear and when he did I had my chance. The distance was approx. 25 ft.

This all took place among some landscaping in front of a public car wash. Ihad just pulled in when all the commotion started. Naturally, I had my camera with me:-)

You just never know where you might run into wildlife...even at a car wash! :O
