I saw thisjuvenile Coopershunting the bushes trying to come up with a House Sparrow. It would locate one and dive into the bushes after it, but had no luck on this hunt.

I worked my way into a position to get closer while it was preoccupied and was waiting when it emerged.

Wow...nice detail and I love the stance as it emerged from the vegitation.

Terrific shot. Amazed that you could get that close without his awareness of your presence. The eyes are just so attractively fierce. Despite the shadow, the details are good enough to see. Your effort is our pleasant viewing. Thanks.

Great shot. Patience pays off. Juveniles are often less wary than adults - this one hasn't yet learned that people are no d-----d good!

Beautiful capture VP! I like the vegitation around the hawk. Nice to see a different background besides blue sky.

Great shot! Your story reminds of a very similar experience I had with a Northern Goshawk in the mountains last year. It's nice to come across such a cooperative bird.

Great capture! The detail around the eye is terrific. Looks like he poses for a portrait.
