I was down on the shore of a local lake this morning when a flight of Canada Geese made their arrival for a stopover on their way further south. The landing was shot from a distance.

They made a bee-line for the shore where I was waiting. A quartet led the way onto shore to make sure everything was safe

After a long flight, it takes a good stretch and flapping to get the cramps out and the wings dry

It didnt' take long for the "scouts" to discover my presence, but rather than be alarmed, these guys were more curious about the guy with the funny black thing in front of his face.

The lack of fear makes me think these guys were coming from a lake or pond where they were very used to people. They got to within 15-20 feet of me and gave me some nice poses.

Nice shots.
The geeses are doing a bit of cross border feeding. A lot of Canadians are doing cross border shopping and the radio is packed with news about how long the border waiting line is (during this Thanksgiving holiday)
