An Eagle caused this chaos in a group of Pintails that had minutes before been feeding peacefully. Unfortunately I didn't have my wide angle lens on for the telephoto didn't do justice in capturing the amount of birds in the sky.

Thanks Hung! I was wishing I'd shoot at a faster ISO to get a little more freeze to the wings.. not sure I'd have liked the picture any better. Sometimes blur is good for composition and sense of chaos as in this shot.

I think the little bit of wingtip blur works for this shot actually. You really get a sense of the massive take off. I can almost hear the wind. Hahaha. The heads and body are super sharp which is where it really matters.

Btw, what shutter speed were you getting for that shot. I tried my exif reader but it couldn't pull out the data.

A great impact to the eyes. Would have been even better if more pintails were in focus but for a lens of 300mmX1.4, that wish will be difficult to attain, I think. I don't know but the impact to the eyes wasthe first sensation I hadfor 1 & 2.

What a great shot, especially # 2. It reminds me of one of those Where's Waldo murals.
