Went to AZ for Thanksgiving and thought I'd try to shoot some wildlife. I know they will notlive up tosome of thepost I've seen on this forum, but thought I'd give it a try.

When going out on a morning walk I spotted this hawk watching me as I walked by.

Later that day I was sitting outside the house near a feeder when this guy came in for a landing.

That evening we were sitting around when this guy (maybe the same one as earlier) came in for one last drink before dark.

In Tucson we went to the Sonoran Desert Museum where I saw lots of hummingbirds. These little guys are not scared the slightest. I shot this one at 75mm at about3 feet away from him.

On the way out I spotted this one who also didn't mind a camera in his face.

Photographing wildlife is very challenging. I am amazed at some of the photo's I've seen on this forum. Hope to post more as my skills improve.

hello mike. these shots are a great start. i also particularly like the last shot of the hummer. beautiful lighting on its head and the colors are well saturated. sharp shot. looking forward to seeing more of your work on here soon.
