Superlative pictures Mike. I had to reach deep into the archives for that adjective. All the others had already been taken. I have to agree that those are some of the nicest eagle pics I've seen as well.
15 minutes away eh? Lucky Dog!

wow mike. these are truly impressive. tack sharp and spot on exposure considering the low light.15 minutes from where you live, such a treat. i hope to see more of the bald eagle shots in the near future.

Superb job on the Eagles, Mike!! The first one is my favorite, followed by the last one. Looks cold butthat's what it takes.

HOLY COW! I did not expect such a large amount of responses to these! I really appreciate the fine comments!! To answer a few questions.

WK7I really want to say a big thanks!!

Lensmore, they will stay up here all winter, the best shooting is had when it is extremely cold and the river freezes up as it makes small pockets of open water in which they congrgate to fish and fish and fish some more. :-)

KEM, I don't remember all of my shutter speeds, but if you click on this raptor gallery of mine it lists all of the exif info okay. http://www.pbase.com/mike_lentz/raptors

As far as posting more Eagle shots, your wish is my command. :-)

Thanks again!!

There are also not easy to get close to ducks down there that we just normally don't get to photograph like this Goldeneye (once again in low light)
