Wild Turkey ( Not Whiskey )

I don't know why but very few wild turkeys around this year and they are a lot more skitish than prior years. They are always skitish but this year they are double or triple skitish.

This is where I found them 3 or 4 days ago. I tried to set up a ambush on the other side of the ridge when I found them and then again for the last two days. Today it worked they came by on their way to bed after breakfast. So have a goble goble kind of look and enjoy.

With a close up. The close up shot was about 1/2 mile from the background photo.

A few close ups as they went by on their way to bed.

Hey, Roger, you and Lou should get together for a good wholesome turkey shoot, love that last "silent creeping" shot, amazing captures with that scope

I am feeling lucky I found two different bunches today so Turkey Time in the Chama valley is getting better.

I am guessing the sun hit them just right at the right time. Thanks Rocky for the kind words.
