Snowing / Mule Deer

I saw some movement in the Sagebrush so I waited.

Here she comes by.

I used a deer grunt call to get her attention.

She started to move so I called softly with the grunt just to try and stop her.

Beauties, Roger, and that snowfall is like a sprinkling of icing on an already tasty cake. Definitely the animal was attending to the call. If you used the Mark III and 500 for these it appears that you are settling nicely into the new rig.

Hi hung, She was looking for the other deer, especially the 1st time I stopped her. Thanks for the kind words.

Yup!!! The Mark 3 and the 500 lens with a 1.4 converter. I do believe I am making a little progress with the new set up thanks to folks like you.

Thanks Again

Way to go Roger! It must be very satisfying to get their attention like that and get off some fine shots. I admire your tenacity and your stalking skills. Cheers, Dan

Very nice shots Roger. I have to agree with Norm - you are quickly getting a feel for the new gear.

Sorry about all the cool weather you are experiencing - is that common in your area? Kind of looks like Canada in your last posts!:-)
