Thanks for the nice comments Norm, Penolta, Bob, Don, Dan and Sabine. These are very challenging birds to photograph. I had to use fill flash due to overcast clouds and rain. Most of the shots I took ~99% were blurred due to excessive activity. They look like Pachinko balls dropping through the branches as they come in to feed. Penolta, you are correct on it being the female with the lighter iris. An interesting fact about thembeing a family group as opposed to a mixed flock. You learn something new everyday!

very cool shots kent. must have been quite challenging to capture this well. all of these shots have great qualities. the first one has a nice exposure and sharpness. the 2nd one has beautiful backlighting which accentuates the fluffiness of the bird. the third has nice sharpness on the eye of the right bird. and finally the last is just too charming. excellent series. happy new years dude.
