Really enjoying these colorful visitors to my yard... The bright yellow of thistiny bird instark contrast against the dreary graydays of theOregon Winter is a welcome sight. I'm fortunate in having 5 of these birds dropping in from the surrounding conifersto feed within a tree in my yard.

Used a fill flash with a homemade diffusing flash card to help eliminate hotspots and glare....

Song is a rapid series of buzzy notes...unless they have a beak full of extra chunky peanut butter then its more like a muted thuurp thuurp! :G

Donna, Jake, Jim and Don.. Thanks so much for the kind comments!

Jake, these guys just love the stuff. It's quite entertaining to watch them sit on a branch and clean up after gorging themselves. I'd really hate to think I may be responsible for an epidemic of obese warblers who had used my tree as a cheap fast food fly through.
