RTH Joins Me For Lunch

I had to go to Colorado on family business and when I travel I don't very often stop at a restaurant during the day time I grab something when I stop for gas and then find me a county road to turn off on for lunch. About 1 mile down a county road I found a pull off by a Cottonwood tree and got out my Breakfast Burrito and a cup of coffee. I hadn't finished 1/2 of the burrito when a RTH showed up.

Set down the Burrito & coffee grabbed the cameras and got a few photos.

I am using two cameras for my Spot & Stalk Photos.

Pentax K10D / Sigma 10-20 lens

Canon Mark3 / 500 mm lens

Here is the Cottonwood tree with the RTH.

With a close up.

A little closer look.

He left and was flying across a couple of fields then decided to come back by me and check me out.

Nice job on the Red-tailed, Roger. Are you able to use the Bush-hawk inside the vehicle or free holding that 500mm?

Hi royce, I used the pentax for the background photo and the Mark 3 / 500mm for the close ups.

Nice company for lunch.

Sabine, Yes I use my BushHawk from inside the vehicle and outside as well. These photos were hand held as my new BushHawk for my 500mm lens is not here yet. I hope to have it next week.

Great shots Roger - as usual. I was wondering why I hadn't seen any posts from you for awhile.

Hi Jim, I have been up to Colorado Springs, Colorado for about 10 days. I am back now so I hope to get some time to work out both of my set ups.
