The first Tree Sparrow shot is particularly nice - I like the pose and the lighting, which looks like it is coming from below - is that reflection from snow on the ground, or just an illusion?

It's not hard to tell you were working in poor light. You did a very good job dealing with it however. I like the nuthatch also....the White-breasted ones have been absent here this winter so far.

wow. i'll take some of that dreary light if i can shots like this! your exposures are simply amazing. i don't know how you do it. any advice? #1 and 2 are my picks of the series. it's always a pleasure to see your work mike.

Love that first photo! All are excellent, however, that first one is unique because of the perch and how everything comes together so wonderfully.
