This is my 2nd attempt (be gentle ) at birding and my first outting with my new FAj 75-300.

After cancelling the Tamron 70-300 LD Di due to lengthy wait and back order at the source I almost settled on the DA 50-200. The store where I shop suggested the FAj 75-300. I have heard of this model but for some reason, never really looked at it. Until now. I took a few photos around the shop and went with a gut feeling to buy it.

It's first trial today with sun sun and more sun! I hope you enjoy them.
Forgive me, I don't know some of the birds species yet, any help would be great

Bit of camera shake here ...

A Blue Heron that would not pose the way i wanted. Plus it was not the great position for lighting. I knew i should have brought my boat

Not bad for your 2nd time out. I know that with my 300mm f/4 with a teleconverter a monopod has been a great assest to sharpen my shots. I got a fairly light weight Manfrotto for about $100.

1st bird is a Cassin's Finch
2nd is a Spotted Towhee
3rd is a hen Mallard
4th is a hen and drake Green-Winged Teal
and of course the Wood Duck.

Keep shootin.

Thanks Doug for the comments and bird names. There is a better place for birdspotting a little further away than the place I went to. I'll try and make it there soon, and of course, the airport
