Took these last weeks. A first for me seeing a Great Horned Owl. I was told that he or she and its mate are building a nest in this tree which is very close to a path for viewing. It's mate was on the other side of the tree mostly out of sight.

2........this is the only shot of it opening it's eye. Seems rather perturbed at all the humans surrounding it taking pictures..

4.....this shot made me laugh...now I'm not real sure, but I think it might be flipping me the bird!?!?:lol:...nah, I guess it's just preening a bit.
