These are from last week. To start my day, I was driving to the wildlife sanctuary, and I see this Red Tail perched on a pole. So I stopped the car, and carefully got out and took a few shots. It gets tired of me so I think, and takes off, only to be replaced by a young Baldie. I don't know if the Baldie scared it off or not, but the young Baldie landed right on the same pole the Hawk was using - talk about luck!!..
The youngster had it's breakfast with it, and I'm not real sure what it was, but I got a few shots of it before it tired of me and took off.
So on to the Sanctuary, where as when I got close, I saw a couple of mature Eagles just sitting soaking up the sun. I carefully exited the car, and maneuvered myself into a position around obstructing branches to get a couple of semi clear shots. They got wind of me pretty quickly and took off. This was just the start of my day before I ever got to the Sanctuary.......
