Decided to pop out again this lunch time to the local creek to see if I could get any bird shots. Again the local swans were around so I was hoping for something interesting.

One thing that is a big learning process for me is playing the waiting game.... something I'm not used to when shooting sports.

All shot with Canon 1D MkIII and Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 and 2x TC, 1/1000th, f10, ISO400.

I saw these two heading down the creek with the wind slowly towards me.

They turned into the wind so I got pretty hopeful

and then, the moment I was waiting for...... well this is a little after as I obviously wasn't waiting well enough and missed the initial part.

Very nice shots, I find the last one, very interesting. Swan from an angle I've never seen before.
