I've photograhed lotsa gators. I've had a few turn and hiss or lunge toward me.:?


Right now it's not mating season, so they're kinda mellow....and the gators in these pics are on the small side.
But yeah, definitely have to be careful, they can run pretty darn fast on land when they want to.

Yeah, I can believe the gators might be "mellow," but I'd be REAL nervous around a 40 lb snapping turtle, lol. I have yet to see one of those who didn't have an attitude.

Really nice series of shots. Hard to pick my favorite, but if forced, I'd probably light on the side of the anhinga.
