It's been real slow here in southern california as far as birding. I've been going out the wildlife sanctuary every week but it's been oddly quiet. I guess we are in between seasons. Anyways, these are all the shots that I have gotten in the last month.

1) The Swallows are coming back.

2) Song Sparrow

3) I was so desparate that I started shooting pigeons. LOL. This guy landed next to me. Full frame shot. I cut off of the feet and tail darn it.

4) I wonder how this Yellow Rumped Warbler got its name... oh wait, nevermind.

5)

6) About a month ago, they flooded one of the ponds here at the sanctuary. This flushed the ellusive bittern out of hidding.

7)

Hopefully in the following months I will have more to share with you guys. Thanks for looking and commenting.

- Hung

Those are all great, at least you have a chance at many birds all year long where you are.

Nothing wrong with these subjects Hung. I really like that Warbler shot of him looking back at you. Not much of a pigeon fan but Wow! great sharpness and color. To bad about the clipped tail and feet.

Thanks Jim. I'm sure you are excited to see some warmer weather and the return of spring birds to shoot. I'm looking forward to your posts.

Thanks Kent. That pigeon caught me by surprise when it landed on the handrail that I wasleaning against. Before I could back up, it took off.
