Ran across this GHO on a bright overcast day. Thought I'd include the full frame shotasit shows the owl in its natural enviroment.

Very nice Kent. The Great Horned I saw a month or so ago had more or less the exact same type of setting. Is there a mate or nest close by to the one you caught?...cheers...Don

Don,

Yup, Its mate was nesting in a hollow tree off to the right butfacing the other direction.
