well, it took another trip back to the service center, but i think the 100-400L is finally working right... got it back on Thursday, but the weather was too horrid to test, so waited till today. a little better, still no sun, but brighter clouds... went to the park and tried it out on some boids...

song sparrow...





and of course the inevitable RWBB... light was lousy, but good enough to verify that the lens is focusing where it oughta!

These look fine to me Squirl. Very nice detail. I thought the photos you posted after the first repair looked good. But then, we can't really tell here on a reduced size and compressed posting. I hope this works for you the way you expect it to...cheers....Don

beautiful shots on all. the focus looks spot on from what i can tell. looks like you are all set to go! bring on the birds baby!
