this little fella's wings were about the only color there was! a very drab, dreary day, horrid light, but this one came out okay...

You managed to get pretty good sharpness in the head and beak which to me makes it a nice shot for the conditions. What was the shutter speed on this one?

thanks, Bob. this one was shot at 1/50, f/5.6 at 300mm, from a monopod.
