Prairie Dawgs

Every Spring they show up. The ranchers don't like them, but they come out of there housed every year in the spring. One interesting thing about them is their color : Early spring they are pretty dark and then by fall they are pretty light.







From last year a summer colored coat.

Great shots, Roger, I just photographed a number of these doing their "yip" at the Edmonton zoo. These are amazing animals and I envy you being able to find them in the wild.
