stunning..no words....

flash has made this shot better..if not for the flash i think it would have been more shadows..

terrific use of flash IMHO

-> Yes the contrasting red feet complement the blue very well, like I said this is my very 1st catch... Most of my previous shots are always the more common yellow-legged purple honeycreepers:

Hi NHL

What a lovely photo... and thanks for pointing out to us about this being the RED legged honey creeper. I might not have realised the significance of the reg legged variety being more rare.

The lightish green bokeh serves well as a background to the bright blue/black plumage and the red legs.

These must be quite little birds, right? Just a shame that oof twig just comes across it's head... otherwise this photo would be 11 out of 10! But anyway, 9.5 out of 10 imho is still something to be proud of!!
