caught this little hummer at the park yesterday, gathering cattail fluff for its nest. as you can see, the light was harsh, and coming from the wrong angle, but i didn't really have a choice... i was on a viewing platform out over the water's edge, and couldn't get the sun behind me... still, i thought this was kind of a neat shot... 40D, 400mm, 1/2000 @ f/7.1

Great shot! Looks like a female Rufous. I saw very briefly a couple of these the other day, but they weren't landing.....Don
