Ospreyland Flying Talons

One of the Heron Lake State Park Rangers stopped in and asked me for a couple of Osprey photos with the Osprey flying where you can see his or her talons. They are doing 12 interpretive signs for their hiking trails and are using my photos for them. She said they are going to add another sign showing Osprey using their talons and she wanted a couple of photos of them flying with nothing in the talons. They have chosen plenty with fish, sticks or on their nest with their talons showing.

Here are the choices I have for them to look at after two trips to the lake.

Looks like you caught her (?)hovering. If they don't like those, they are too hard to please!

Hi Roger!!

An excellent sequence, but your#1 definitely does it for me. The way the wings are outstretched and curved inward, the talons in an open position and the steely gaze of the osprey allcombine to give the impression of a "deadly embrace". Well done. Dan
