Been a while since I posted here, but this shot of a Ruff Grouse I took today was something I wanted to share. He was hiding along a trail and I saw him, as he did me, then I had to step back to get my 300mm lens to come into focus.

Awesome Tom!! Is this the FA*300 or the Sigma(?) f/2.8 you recently bought? I'm betting it's the FA..........cheers..Don

I hate to admit it but the Sigma doesn't get out much since the FA is so mch easier to use and carry around.

Thanks for the comments, I like the shallow DOF that brings out the eyes on the bird when you first look at the photo.
