Wild Horse Hunt Preview

It was to late in the day to get to them but I will be leaving before daylight for a full day of trying to ambush them. As you can see it looks like a very young colt is with them. I was thinking it would be fun to share a wild horse hunt with my fellow forum members so here is the plan.

This really young colt is why I am so excited about this hunt I really would like to get a keeper of him. Not a very good photo but the wind on the top of this ridge was really heavy I am guessing about 40 to 50 mph.

While I was out looking for wild horsed today I did find 2 bachelors 1 valley over from where I found the herd with the young colt.

This guy has been rolling around in the mud.

and ya wonderwhy they're stillbachelors... kinda expected to see some empty beer bottles andoat chip bags lying around. :G

I like your docu-hunts Roger. There's nothing morebeautiful than a picture of wild horses in a full run.

Kent thanks for looking and for the nice comment. After a very long and physically difficult day. I did find 3 different herds and a total of 4 colts. As soon as I can get through the photos I will post a few.

I don't think they would know what a apple was. Still you might have a good idea with the apples.
