Below are a few shots of a couple of swallows that I happened by yesterday. Nice to see some birds for a change in my area. I found this pair while driving county roads and pulled into the ditch approximate to the nest which was on a fence line. I waited for about a half hour hoping that they would eventually get comfortable with my suv. Apparently they did.

Shot with Mark III and 100-400 from my vehicle

It's been very scarce up here lately so it's nice to see the birds return.

Beautiful series. Good color, detail and composition. What is a Mark III?

Canon EOS-1D Mark III, 10 mp, 10 fps. Professional level DSLR going for around $4,000 to $5,500.

A sweet camera, and I'm a Nikon guy.

BTW, really nice series of pictures Norm.

Usual nice work, Norm. It's a shame youdon't have more birds in winter months...but that gives me more I suppose. You have the Snowy Owls though!
