On a rainy afternoon, all you can do is sit on the porch and hope something interesting gets in range. This immature Blue Grosbeak paid me a visit...only the second or third time I have seen grosbeaks in my yard.

This house finch was on his way to a free meal at the feeder...(taken before the rain started)

And, I felt sorry for this poor little Eastern Phoebe who was trying to deliver lunch to her newly hatched brood, but, there was this big old guy with that huge "camera thing."

Hey Mr. Soccerman - those are really interesting photos of the blue grosbeak. I've barely seen one, much less a juvie. cool

Very nice captures Paul, I have plenty of house finches butnever a grosbeak in my feeders.

Excellent Blue Grosbeaks Paul!! Never seen one of those around these parts. For that matter, I didn't know there was a Blue Grosbeak. Thanks for sharing these...cheers..Don
