Thanks bmullen, Kent, VP, and flutelady.

VP, the reason for taking so many images was to determinr how many chicks there were in there - it seems they can be told apart by their facial patterns, although in some cases it may be easier for the parent birds than for us to do! The total of 6 is probably right, as the clutches arereported to be normally no larger than 7, whichmay beall the parents could handle under the best of conditions. One of the females wasdays behind the others in development, and I only saw her fed once before she got shouldered out of the way by a stronger chick, so it is possible that she maynot have made it. This is the only (poor) image I got of her :
