Nice work Ellen. I've never seen a juvenile moorhen before and I'm struck by the differences in appearance between it and the adult. Also enjoyedthecomposition of your 2nd GH shot. Fishing with bread - how about that! Cheers, Dan

Very nice Ellen. Looks like you were shooting into the sun, you did well considering the lighting condiitions. The Moorhen and chick shot is wonderful.

thanks, guys.

kent, i WAS shooting into the sun for the first 2.

for the adult gh shot, he was standing on the other side of an elevated walkway from me so i was happy this came out as well as it did considering i shot through shade. he was getting irritated with the ducks around him that would take the bread after he laid it in the water for the fish. he got pretty riled up and i am sorry i was not quick enough to get him with feathers flared. i had to keep throwing him bread and did not have the dexterity to get the camera raised in time for some of his antics. i WILL try again. he hangs out in the struts under the elevated walkway. he knows now that i will provide his bait. :-)
