These are from the last few days. The Cedar Waxwings are in abundance this year. Just have to be patient trying to find them in the open. The little buggers like hiding in the deciduous trees, but once in a while, one gets lucky if one is willing to wait. Taken, as usual it seems, under beautiful white skies......cheers...Don

I think they're eating a lot right now. This one looks like it's ready to explode...



this one is a little less puffed up, but is close to its work. I waited hoping it'd grab a berry, but no luck..



this guy is positively sleek..



...those darn leaves...



and a youngster I was able to sneak up on. It was checking me out a bit before taking off...

Nice shots, but don't complain about the leaves - they'll be gone soon enough, along with the birds! :sad:

Gotta love the waxwings. Excellent series. I still have one in Calgary sitting on the nest - I hope they make it before it gets cool.

Nice series, Don. They are a favorite of mine to pester in the winter. That first one looks like the Blue Jays here after eating too many peanuts.
