Hi...yes, Homer has a ton of Bald Eagles. In winter, there is a women that feeds these birds Salmon remains from a local processing plant. There is some controversy surrounding this daily event. Literally >1000 bald eagles come every morning...it is quite a spectacle.. My husband was dismayed to see bald eagles behaving like pigeons... They are scavengers...

it must be amazing to see so many eagles in one place. i love the swarm shot.

I have to say you're a lot braver than I am, to move to Alaska... but, I suppose you're right, it's not much different than Michigan!:lol: It's all too cold for me. I'll stick with our Florida bald eagles thank you very much!:blah:
The nice thing about digital is you can experiment all you want, all it cost is time.
