My husband and I were fishing at local lake the other day when I looked up I knew the duck in the water was on a mission...I took this shot so fast I'm suprised it turned out at all. Didn't take me long to run to the van. This was taken with nikon d40 at 12:30 noon

that's better. :-)

great shot of the muscovy in front combined with the action shot of the other one. was the other one after him? he sure is in a big hurry! they can really get into it. i'm always afraid they will drown each other when they fight in the water.

i wonder what they fight about? mine mostly fight over who gets to eat the bread i hand feed them and i think sometimes they fight over a 'woman'.

Thanks!!!...The duck in the water was angry that I was feeding the other one. When it hit the water it was determined that it was also going to get some food...got any ideals on what kind of ducks these are? That's the only two that I see like thatwhen I go there.

another great shot!

i really don't think you have to worry. i haven't seen any muscovies attack people (unlike geese!), especially if they are in a well-traveled public area. some can get a little rough if you feed them by hand but mostly, if they are used to being around people, they are harmless.

Thanks for the tips...I won't feed them any more at least while I'm fishing. Have a great night! If you have any pictures posted I'll be looking for them.
