These are two shots of some wood ducks I saw yesterday. My first sightings of wood ducks. The photo with the two ducks are females, the other is male. The male is I believe in 'eclipse' plummage. Which is when the old feathers come off during the summer after the breeding season and they grow new ones. I believe also they are flightless during this time.

These shots were taken with Nikon D60, 70-300mm VR lens at 300mm. F8, 1/125 for the first one, 1/320 for the second.
