I was walking onto the beach at the local sanctuary, and out of the corner of my eye, spotted this Evening Grosbeak youngster. It was literally 5 feet away! It didn't seem to mind me being there, so I snapped a bunch of photos. Had to back up to try and get it all in the frame, but I didn't have much room to do so. Wish the light had been a little better, but you can't have everything....cheers...Don

awesome find don! are they rare in your parts? i've never even seen a grosbeak before in the wild actually. that last shot is my favorite of the series. i especially like the color tones.
