Taken with my new 300mm lens. Too bad i am just learning to use this lens and did not get this as sharp as i should have. The original got messed up too , so this is the best i can do. I was so far away that i had no idea what the gull had picked up. what a surprise, and what a disappointment that i could not get it well.

I know just what you mean Caryl… I get lots of those "almost" shots.

I hope you don't mind my playing with your pic a little Caryl.

I had tried putting more detail into the background too but the bird seemed to get lost so i kept the black. I will learn the settings , soon i hope.
