BP,
I don't know what camera-lens setup you're using but, you sure get some great shots!

I have a Sony A700 with a Tamron 300 mm Di lens.

We saw this Osprey in the nest about 30 minutes earlier. When we drove back by the nest he was gone. We found him about 1/4 mile later along the side of the road eating breakfast.

I parked the car and was able to walk slowly up to within 100 - 150 feet his location as he ate the fish he just caught.

He kept his eye on me while he ate, but really didn't make any efforts to leave.

This morning I was about 200 feet from a hawk near the Hillsborough River toward Zephyrhills, but I doubt that the photo I took will amount to much. I haven't been able to bring myself to look at it yet.
