Steve, that was my first impression too, until I saw it in profile! Way to go!

PS - I've the D300 too and a Nikon 1.7X. Guess I better start saving for that lens of yours. :-) Dan
It's worth the wait. It gives out standing performance. Quick to focus, crystal sharp and does well in low light, even with the 1.4x.
