yes you bring up a good point mark. photoshop can be abused to an extreme and colors on animals can appear unrealistic. i know i tend to push the contrast to the max in order to get my subjects to pop on the screen. however, i do think that the best "editing" is achieved when you really don't notice any photoshop alterations in the final image. my goal of editing is to simply clean up my image and present my subject in the best visual way possible. clean, sharp and without distracting elements such has background noise, etc. that's it.

btw i like that comment about how ansel adams would have liked photoshop! LOL.
