Here is a sequence showing the lift-off of a group of snow geese in late afternoon. It focuses on one particular goose.
Thanks for looking,
Steve
Three fantastic geese postings. Thank you very much. Suppose you are a biologist. Remember in 1979 a very special book, that opened the eyes of many for the subject of ethology.

Send them to him. He'll be happy if he's still around

The year of the greylag goose by Konrad Lorenz

Adding a picture of a Pink-footed Goose (Anser brachyrhynchus), very rare up here. Sorry, don't have the equipment but some knowledge

Your Pink footed Goose is very similar to our Greater White-fronted Goose Anser albifrons.

They'll soon be gone for the year - get them while you can. What is your burst speed on that camera?

Nice series and keeping focus on the one Goose in the flock is very nice.

Yes, they are all but gone here now.
The burst rate for that shoot was 6 fps. I have since added the MB-D10 battery grip and with the en-el-4a battery the rate went up to 8 fps. Which can really fill up a card in a hurry.
