Awesome shots Dan!! Two of your best! Perfect balance of exposure and detail. These little buggers are hard to get right with those white cheeks and jittery movements. Well done!! If you don't mind me asking, which lens did you use for these? .....cheers...Don

Thanks Steve and Don- yes they do offer endless possibilities.

Don, I use a D300, my lens is the Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 VR paired with a 1.7X extender. I find it a great setup, flexible, light and agile, it's my full time birding setup. All my wildlife photos are handheld - the VR (vibration reduction) feature is very helpful. Cheers, Dan
