Yea!

I was just informed that one of my photos was selected to be Jan. 29th's Photo of the Day at the Imaging Resource website.
I have to partly credit some of you for your input on cropping the photo. You can view the photo here.

Thanks go to Hung(royce10), Don (thekman6230), Penolta and Bob Mullen (bmullen) for your helpful suggestions.

Thanks for letting toot my own horn, so to speak.

All the best,
Steve

Nice shot indeed. It fits in well with past winners. Going through some of them they are an incredible collection of outstanding photos.

Let me echo those who call the honor well-deserved. Really a neat shot. Congratulations.

They have outstanding collections of POTD photos - I looked through several months worth, too, and I was stunned by how uniformly sharp they were - the sharpest collection I had ever seen in one place. Gave me a real inferiority complex. aranoid: Then I read their posting page where it says their software automatically sharpens all images that are are not undersized (<800 dpi in one dimension)! I could certainly use that software!

Thank you for the congrats everyone.

Penolta, I agree. There is always a terrific collection of photos at this site/contest. That's why I was really excited just to have my photo selected. Even though their software does some automatic sharpening, I think you can see that the photos are pretty top notch to start with.
